Sorry, ultra-rugged, military style cases (eg Otterbox Defender or Lifeproof cases) are too thick for Loop Mount
Loop should fit any round handlebars on the market including all of the standard sizes between 22.2mm (7/8") and 31.8mm (1 1/4").
Just make sure you have space for your phone on your bars in landscape mode.
If you are unhappy with your mount - please return it to us within 30 days and we'll happily refund you.
The Brompton adapter it a big let down, it is not a snug/secure fit. The loop mount itself is great but the Brompton adapter let's it down and makes it look and feel like a cheap phone mount. I feel you could make a solid mount that isn't just held on by essentially two elastic bands.
Needs improvements + unresponsive customer support.
The Brompton Adaptor doesn’t attach securely and “floats” above the handlebar clamp. It’s not a snug fit. As a consequence, if you cycle on rough terrain or cobblestone roads, the mount can fall towards you, rendering it almost useless. It happened to me multiple times. I’ve double checked that the handlebar clamp bolt is tightened with Brompton’s recommended torque of 18 Nm. I’ve contacted customer support more than a week ago. A support ticket was created automatically but I received no reply yet. My recommendation is to stay away from this product until improvements are made, otherwise you might be equally disappointed.
